Baobab Media Editorial Direction
Baobab Africa - People and Economy is published by the Baobab
Media. The editorial orientation is on Africa’s people and
economy. It offers a mix of hard economic and intellectual reading
and is presented in the framework of Alternative Journalism.
As an Alternative to the mainstream of Western Thought and Writings
on the African Continent, Baobab Africa - People and Economy
offers Positive Representations of the continent: its politics,
economic and social realities.
Baobab Africa - People and Economy shares the aspirations of the
continent’s great leaders. Therefore, the cornerstone of its
editorial direction is hinged on the faith of these great
leaders in the power and the potential of the continent to flourish
and be part of Global Prosperity.
Baobab’s journalistic approach is through intellectual and objective
analyses of the continent’s entrepreneurs, economies, politics and
the creatives (the Arts, Culture, Tourism, Music and Literature).
The writings shall carry the credence of the Vision of Kwame
Nkrumah, Patrice Lumumba, Nelson Mandela, Nnamdi Azikiwe,
Sekou Toure, Marcus Garvey and others who believe that the
imperfection of the continent only offers a Challenge to discover
the Capacity of the African People to triumph in all fields.
Therefore, we bring our Intellectuals together to advance the
Formation of Right Thinking in the Affirmation of Faith in Africa
and Dispute the Claim of a Continent without history and substance.
Baobab validates Africa’s substance.
And we adhere to the timeless principle of objectivity, accuracy and
fairness in report/analysis.
Our motto is Journalism for Growth.
